Dad loves to mow and Mum likes to sow - but that only applies to the garden - no symbolism implied. There’s constant growth and creativity. The garden is harmonious with it’s wild islands and pools of shorn green.
A journalist once visited and wrote afterwards:
“She of the wild meadow and he of the clipped grass.”
Made us both laugh as Dad is absolutey obsessed with the lawn and always has been.

A rather corny and over exposed photograph of me with a perm, years ago, in the uncut meadow.
On the other side of the river, the common land is still grazed.
