117 - Tracing Time part 2

117 - Tracing Time part 2

Travelled back from Cambridgeshire today and picked up varnish from London's Stuart R Stevenson art shop on Clerkenwell Road. Lots of walking around (some tramping) with my backpack on a trolley. Discovered a new fast healthy food takeaway called Atis. Amazing food. Not cheap, but delicious. Piles of greens with crunchy sprinkles. Sat in one of the tiny semi-secret gardens that I know near Old Street and enjoyed the shade of beautiful trees that have become green canopies in the 20 years since I worked nearby.

After cycling home I napped and then leapt into action and varnished about 35 drawings. Stinking sticky yeuch. My least favourite job. Done now and drying on racks. I've got two extractor fans running - in the kitchen and bathroom. French windows open and I've only just shut the front door. Only a gauzy net curtain protecting me from midges.

Here are a few more snaps from the Tracing Time show. I tried to photograph all the title cards but of course I missed out a few.

Love the gossiping girls far left.

I enjoyed peering into the lightly sketched backgrounds to see the cheeky chappies and mini dramas going on.

This was interested because it was so rumpled.

And this one I loved for its blue spots.

Macmillan Cancer Support

This year I challenged myself to write one blog post per day, for 365 days. The project began on 3 March 2025.

I have linked this challenge to a charity fundraiser, because I want to look outside as well as inwards and contribute to society. It also holds me accountable and adds motivation to write everyday.

Macmillan is an organistation that offers powerful help to anyone (in the UK) who has been affected by cancer.
