119 - Deadline

119 - Deadline

Oof absolutely cream crackered. Today I painted around 50 paper and wood sheets with acrylic gel, to glue them together. Or to put it another way, I mounted two sets of drawings on board to make two pieces of artwork.

Still not finished, as I also need to cut 200 pieces of strip magnet, label the works, document them, and wrap them.

Cutting it fine for my 1st July deadline, but it's all in hand.

This is the state of my live-work space this evening. Just piles of tissue and paper towel everywhere, drying out. You have to use a roller over the top of the images and carefully wipe the oozing gel from the edges to prevent it from marking the front of the drawings.

Here are two mounted drawings waiting to be pressed. I piled a two stack of seven and then weighted them with my dehumidifier.

Macmillan Cancer Support

This year I challenged myself to write one blog post per day, for 365 days. The project began on 3 March 2025.

I have linked this challenge to a charity fundraiser, because I want to look outside as well as inwards and contribute to society. It also holds me accountable and adds motivation to write everyday.

Macmillan is an organistation that offers powerful help to anyone (in the UK) who has been affected by cancer.
