214 - Funky Polka

214 - Funky Polka

Funky Polka just added to the projects section: fabric design inspired by the 1:6 scale world of fashion dolls. I used doll furniture in the background of the 'products in situ' images as well.

The design is applied virtually to a range of products I selected from the Contrado range. The idea was that customers could order them from my store and they would be manufactured and drop shipped directly to the customer from Contrado. But then Contrado decided to close down that side of their business, and since their products are very expensive it was prohibitive for me to purchase and then resell the furniture, bags and clothes I'd designed.

Revisiting this set I'm liking it though. It would be great to get a little something printed up.

Macmillan Cancer Support

This year I challenged myself to write one blog post per day, for 365 days. The project began on 3 March 2025.

I have linked this challenge to a charity fundraiser, because I want to look outside as well as inwards and contribute to society. It also holds me accountable and adds motivation to write everyday.

Macmillan is an organistation that offers powerful help to anyone (in the UK) who has been affected by cancer.
