I have just discovered the Business Insider channel on YouTube.
This morning I watched a few minutes of this documentary on the most valuable pigments available and how they are made. Fascinating and beautifully filmed. I'm dying to continue watching. It follows on nicely from that National Gallery podcast (and even better because of the visual element).
Also stumbled across a book called the Artist's Palette on Sunday. Each double page spread shows a photograph of the actual used palette, with analysis and example of works. Nice idea.
