361 - Post Haste

I'm coming to the end of writing and publishing 365 blog posts in a year.
BUT
I made a mistake. I published two posts labelled 191.
So I will have written and published them all by 2 March, but the 365th will be labelled 364.
BAH
For some reason that bothers me. I need to have a final post labelled 365. And for that I am willing to write a 366th post. Labelled 365.
Why do numbers have a kind of emotional significance?
A new Lidl store opened in Salisbury on the 26 February and the local Journal reported that some customers formed a queue in the early hours of the morning so that they could be the first ones in the store.
I wonder how the first customer marked that event?
Have you heard of Parkrun? Perhaps you've taken part in it. A lot of the runners like collect numbers that relate to the run as markers of accomplishment. For example, running once at a certain number of different clubs. Or participating at the home run for a round number of times.
I'm not a huge numbers person but I like to set a challenge and achieve it. A number is a good way of measuring an achievement. It's easy to understand. At least, it's easy to understand in a context where there are few numbers. I don't want to read scoreboards I just want to know who won.
Most people are familiar with the number of days in a regular year. So I will be writing that extra blog post and labelling at 365.
For anyone who hears nails on a blackboard because it's actually number 366, I'm sorry.
