40 - Flambeaux

40 - Flambeaux

In Cassis there were two art galleries we checked out. The Marina Gallery had an astonishing treasure trove of ‘paintings from the Provençal School of the 19th and 20th Centuries’. It was incredible, like standing in the back room of Christies, or the Louvre. Paintings in elaborate frames, hanging and casually stacked, five or six deep, around two small rooms. No white gloves though, just loosely attached paper signs with messages in felt tip pen, saying Touche Pas.

Further up the impossibly jolie pathway, a show of limited edition prints by Shephard Fairey.

Spent an insane amount of money on a piece of cheese..

Bussed back from the seaside. Walked back from Castellane… a rapper bounded out and stopped two passing performers (with an amp and sounds) and started rapping.

Valley Curtain by Christo and Jeanne Claude. On show at the MAC (Musee d’art Contemperain).

Macmillan Cancer Support

This year I challenged myself to write one blog post per day, for 365 days. The project began on 3 March 2025.

I have linked this challenge to a charity fundraiser, because I want to look outside as well as inwards and contribute to society. It also holds me accountable and adds motivation to write everyday.

Macmillan is an organistation that offers powerful help to anyone (in the UK) who has been affected by cancer.
