Today I listened to a couple of episodes from the Frieze magazine podcast series 'Bow Down' about 'significant women artists from the past who deserve our attention'. Very good, I liked the pace, insights and integrity.
I skimmed over Katy Hessel's The Great Women Artists. Too fast (the talking) and cliched. Anyway, aren't we all so tired of trumpeting the word GREAT? I expect the series deserves more attention but I really do struggle with the loudness and intensity.
Have enjoyed all the episodes of the Louisianna Channel I've watched on YouTube.
I also like radio Juxtapoz I follow their Instagram too. What a great title (to episode 147): "Christian Quin Newell Can Paint His Dreams".
99% Invisible - long time fave. Not Fine ART but the art of what is all around you. If you live in America.
There is so much American English in the podcast domain, I love to find podcasts with British English. Having said that, there are many different US accents to choose from... but I'm very weary of the Ira Glass tempo and pitch. Love the New York accent when I can find it. And I listen to Mark Maron's WTF (not sure what accent he has). Anyway I'm starting to ramble.
OMG this show looked really good, I missed it. You have to keep your eyes peeled. When you write it down that is a raw sentence. Eyes peeled yikes.

The Juxtapoz critic is a FAN:
"abstract pieces that rework the moquette threads of the trains’ worn seats, with a level of drip that captures the slow decay"
