Figure and Pattern - 2024

In 2021 I moved to live outside of London for the first time in about 35 years. To be sociable, I joined some figure drawing sessions and that kicked off a fresh interest in drawing figures and faces.

Experimental phase

After a couple of years, I started experimenting with mixing pattern and colour with the figure drawings.

These are fine line permanent pen on mixed media paper, with watercolour inks, watercolour ink brush pen and acrylic.
